Hi Jennifer! I would wait at least twenty minutes to half an hour before handling the items. The drying time all depends on the type of paint used, how thick he put it on and the heat and humidity factor in your home. If it is warm and dry in your house it may be dry within ten minutes but would leave it for up to half an hour just to be sure.
