Hi Max,

I would recommend that you put down a bed of crushed rock enough to keep 
water and moisture well drained away even under a treated wood floor. It 
will be relatively easy to level and provide solid support to all of the 
members in contact with it. I built one 12 by 16 here in the autumn of 1989, 
moved it a few feet in 1992. It is sitting on sand which was not all that 
well compacted but so far as I can tell it is still pretty well as it was 
when built. The shingles are probably getting ready for replacement by now. 
I did replace the door a couple of years ago.

I really think you should fly me down for a couple of weeks to do it with 
you.
