Hi Barry,

I see some Japanese corner planes at Lee Valley tools which cut on the pull 
stroke for between $35 and $45 Canadian. I expect though that Stanley 
probably make some too, not so common in hardware stores these days as 
people tend to buy router bits for the purpose but there is no doubt in my 
mind that a gentle touch with a hand plane will perform a superior cut and 
actually usually much faster than will be achieved with a router by the time 
you set the bit, depth and all that.

Except that I use a lot of plywood and composite materials I would love to 
collect a selection of things like hand routers and planes. They take a 
little looking after to keep sharp but I have to think that there must be 
something very satisfying about hand dados with a hand router.
