To use the vise I use a philips screwdriver. I would like to get a regular handle with the one ball welded and the other threaded. I would like to restore it if at all possible. If all els fails you could weld or have some one weld a nut on the end of the shaft and use a wratchet or a wrench to tighten and loosen the vise. In the mean time if you really need to use the vise before you can find a usable handle you can always resort to using a vise grip. Not recommending this for long term use but it will work. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Lenny McHugh Sent: Sunday, January 14, 2007 4:01 PM To: Handyman-Blind Subject: [BlindHandyMan] antique vise Hey All, I mentioned in a previous post that many power tools were given to me by an old friend. Anyway among these tools was an antique wood vise. It is missing a handle and spacer. I located some washers that will work as a spacer but can't find a handle. I could use 1/4" all thread but really would not like too. the actual hole is 17/64" any ideas where I can find a tightening handle?
