the paper tape units, are too abraisive and like tape playing themselves 
will cause wear on the heads which will eventually need to be relapped.
they are a not demagnetising, nor are they polishing.
There were at one time some mechanical polishing tape types. So why not 
use a q-tip and alcohol?
