  Hello Frank,
  I found a tip at http://www.bobshowto.com/Snow-Blocks-Sliding-Glass-Door.htm
In this tip he suggests letting your screen door in place to help.
I would try a silicone spray or wd40. wd40 is a water displacement product
as well as a very light lubricant.
I never asked why but my late father-in-law use to tape some plastic on his
screen door and I knew that it hung a little over the bottom track. I now
suspect it was for a similar problem. I never questioned but assumed it was
for insulation but now think otherwise.
My wife has no idea why he did that.

Howdy All,with the temps here droping into the teens at night I have
  noticed
my back sliding door starting to freeze close. Usually with a good tug it
will open. Is there something I can apply to prevent this? Also when it
decides to snow here it gets stuck in the track. After a period of time it
builds up in the lower corner and prevents the door from closing until I
dig it out with a screwdriver. Any suggestions appreciated.

  Frank
