  The problem I have had with drilling, and I was having it when I was 13 
  years old and my dad came to my rescue is, the rivet starts to spin with 
  the drill. That can happen especially when the drill is part way through 
  and catchs on the rivet. You can spin that rivet all day and it won't wear 
  its self away.
