I had that same problem when installing our shower doors. I had to call my Brother in law over and told him to bring his little grinder. He'd grind one of the verticals till it fit like a glove which didn't take long at all, and then he did the other one. Then we assembled the framing for the doors and hung the doors. I bought mine at home depot which had gaskets on all 3 sides and didn't call for caulking. Just to be safe I caulked the bottom rail though.
