Scott I think you are wright at least to some degree. Granted I have a 1989 and is not nearly as safisticated as the newer stuff, but with all of the coolent leaks that this thing has had I have not had any trouble from the engine compartment getting wet. I mean I have had leacks spring from the intake, water pump, temp sencer, thermostat housing. Quick connect for the heater core. Shall I go on?
