you will still have those ends to consider.
You originally spoke of 1/4 inch cabling. You'll have to cut and terminate 
that wire. It's okay to use bare wire, but make sure all of the little 
strands are in their proper groupings as a cross might blow up the amp.
Also, be sure to keep the polarity correct as out of phas signal might 
sound a little nasty.
