>From the tin roof there is a 3" down spout. This down spout is made from >corrugated aluminum. I would like to run a heat up from near the bottom of the down spout and across the tin roof. I still haven't figured the best way to secure the tape to the tin roof. And I am not sure the best way to protect the wire when fed through a drilled hole in the downspout.I thought about some gasket material clamped to the down spout.
