Boop,
You said that you had cork flooring throughout the entire house except the
kitchen. You had it in the bathroom as well?

Q: How does the cork flooring hold up in high traffic areas?

Our flooring is 55 years old, so the new flooring may not
be the same, but ours has held up very well, even in the high
traffic areas. You can see a difference in the flooring where it
has been covered with carpet, but you'll have that with any kind
of flooring. We are about to cover up the cork flooring and
install new on top of it. After 55 years, I think it's time,
huh?

Q: Does it leave indentations when you move heavy furniture?

There are some indentations where heavy furniture has
been sitting in the same spot for years. I would be careful
moving heavy furniture over it, but don't think you have to be
more careful than with any other kind of flooring.

Q: Any difficulty in cleaning it? What happens if you spilled
water on it?

This may have changed with the new cork flooring, but we
had to get special cleaner for the floor. We also needed special
wax for it. We have had trouble finding the cleaner lately, but
I think that's because we live in a small town, and it seems cork
flooring was sold much for quite awhile. Some cleaners will say
on the bottle, not to use it on cork. I used Murphy's Oil Soap
when I couldn't find the special cleaner. When we clean this,
it's important not to soak the floor. I would clean a small
area, then use a rag to dry the area, then move on to the next
area. My washer valve stuck open one time and flooded part of
the house, including some of the cork flooring areas. We had to
replace a couple of the tiles, but most of it was fine. The
damaged tiles were next to the wall, so water had gotten under
the tile as well. The tiles curled when they dried. We had some
left over tile, so replacing it wasn't that bad.

Caring for cork flooring is a little different than other
flooring, but it sure is warmer on the feet than other flooring.
We didn't buy cork flooring to replace what we have, but that is
because we got a good deal on some Pergo flooring.

Hope this is helpful.
Boop
