Bruce, if moving it is not an option, there is little you can do. One thing you could try is mounting the thermostat on a piece of foam with a piece of foil between the foam and wall. Also make sure the hole in the wall where the wire comes out is completely closed with some fiberglass or other material to block air flow from the wall to inside the thermostat. Using all the above, using much longer screws and adding spacers between the foil and wall to allow an air space to help moderate any temperature from the wall..................bob
