yes it's running fine thanks to all those that offered advice i'l get a can of 
switch cleanor and giv it a cleaning yet agane thanks for your help

  If it was hard booze on the rocks or with water, you're in luck
  it probably won't hurt a thing once the water dries out.

  If it contained anything with sugar or fake sugar it may need cleaning out
  as max has so accurately detailed.

  Now-a-days with plastic covered condensers, the fears from the old days
  of paper and wax covered parts soaking up water are gone.

  Connectors, pots ans switches are probably the issues.
  possibly large transistors in sockets if any.

  I bet it's going now.
