Tom, thanks, they actually do make fret pullers and if I were going to use some powdered material, I'd rap the hell out of the areas I don't want the stuff on. Oh yeah, great care will be taken, no rushing at all. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm nuts, but well the worst thing is I'd be out a neck so will be checking cost just in the event I trash the thing or decide I'd prefer someone's work over my attempts. grin
