We didn't install cork flooring, we are in the process of
covering 55 year old cork floor. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend
cork floor for this one. We have found a fairly new product that
might be the ticket. It is a vinyl flooring that looks like hard
wood. It is totally waterproof, and some of it has a 25 year
residential warranty. It has glue strips that you remove paper
from and just press it together. It looks pretty blind friendly
to lay down. There are other brands, but the brand we looked at
is called Konecto. (spelled K O N E C T O) We will be using it
in front of the main door, and down the hallway. They have it in
a lot of different kinds of textures and colors. There is enough
texture to keep you from slipping when it wet. There are places
to buy it on line too. Just do a search for Konecto and see what
you find.
