Hi John I do not know what they call them in your country but all they are is a water tap with a handle which lifts up and to have hot water it goes to the left and cold water to the right, and different water temperatures in between. Before we had single taps either side so we decided to buy a new sink with a single hole at the rear so we could use a flick mixer there. We just installed one in the new kitchen unit I put in my office and they are simple to use and easy for someone with arthritis in there hands.
