Since a "right" triangles angles must equal 180dg, and a squares (or 4 cornered shape) must equal 360 dg it is like this: measure the angles, they will be a percentage of 180 measure two sides of the triangle multiply as if it were a square. 10x5 = 50 thenhalf for the 180/360 nature of the triangle 50/2 = 25 then multiply by the percentage of the added angles of *your triangle compared to the 180 of the right angle 25/80% = 20 that is your answer in squared inches, feet or whatever as simply as I know it. There may be a more elegant formula.
