I just did a google search based on drilling glass with pipe. What I got was an extensive list of sites offering instruction on making bombs or bongs for supercharging the smoke from marijuana. I didn't even know there were such techniques.

There is a special drill bit for glass that you can use. I made a dam around the area and filled with some oil before drilling. The other way that I have seen someone drill glass with a short piece of pipe and they cut two perpendicular slots in the end and used that end as the drill bit. It sounded crazy to me but made a very nice clean hole. My wife bought some sconces she wants to mount on the mirror. Is there a good, safe, and given my skill level, easy way to drill holes in a mirror?
