Although I'm not a Trekker expert, I'll be happy to try to answer any
questions you have. Just send an email.

I have a toll free number, I was sure though that we had a member employee
there. I know Amy, met her several years ago when she was part of the vision
services at Ross MacDonald. So that is what she is up to now.

I have a few recommendations as to improvements on those damn machines, for
the price It bothers me that they don't have it right yet! Just seems odd to
me that two e-mail messages that don't bounce also don't get any attention.
Their Web site doesn't do much either to help sell their goods. I suppose it
doesn't matter if you live in a big city where you can go look but the
information on the site is full of hyperbole but pretty thin on fact or
detail. Trying to figure out for example, how one manages the Trekker. Do I
have to touch a tactile membrane sleeve stuck over a PDA attached to a GPS?
Is this practical through sheepskin mitts? Can you hear it in a parka
pocket?

There is an interesting sound file of a chap walking through the city and in
a taxi but I found no physical description of the equipment or any
information about what sort of detail one might find on a map outside of a
major center. I do know that some GPS systems do have pretty detailed maps
for little places like this.

Anyway I guess I'll just have to get onto the phone though I do prefer
e-mail.

Thanks Victor but I think I really need service staff.

Hi Dale,

If you don't mind incurring the long distance charges, I can give you the
cell phone number of the head sales coordinator for Toronto.

Her name is Aimee Todd, and their head office is here in Toronto.

Let me know if you want it.

Victor
