In our current home we put in wood laminate. I would have preferred a vinyl because with the wood laminate we have to be careful not to spill liquids that might not get wiped up right away and can cause problems for the laminate. With either vinyl or this laminate though you might have less breakage of dishes if you drop them whereas with ceramic you might lose a dish or two. I guess my recommendation would be vinyl, you can sweep it, mop it and it can provide cushioning for the occasional dropped china. ----- Original Message ----- From: Barbara To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, July 02, 2007 1:22 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Kitchen Rug
Hey folks, I have a question. I want to replace my kitchen rug but certainly not with carpet. I am totally blind so I would like to know what would be the simplest rug or maybe possibly tile to put down. I don't want to have to take my stove, washer and dryer out of the area and of course, not the lower cabinets either. I sure do love this list; find it very informative. Suggestion welcomed, thanks.
