I don't know why a blind person couldn't do the replacement. Now as to whether you can get a different type of ice maker, you probably need to check with the manufacturer of the refridgerator for that answer. One would think if the connections are the same it wouldn't matter which type of ice maker. Mine is one that mounts in the freezer over a tray. ----- Original Message ----- From: Otis Blue To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2007 8:44 AM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] replacing a ice maker in a fridge
Hi, Could someone tell me if it's possible to replace a ice maker that's in a refrigerator? If so, would it be possible for a blind person to do themselves? I need to get another one but I'm not if I should get the same kind or not because I want one that makes smaller ice cubes. Will I be able to do this or will I have to get the same one like the one that's in there?
