Dear Dan and list members:
We have a screened in porch and the old fashioned swing my father built had
chains which became very rusty. I recently bought some small log chain and
some of the links that have a threaded nut which allows one to open one side of
the link and then close it after hooking a chain inside. My newly chained
swing works much better than it did when I had heavy dog chain for the
support.
I have found that a swing will help when getting a little guy to drift off
in to slumber land. We ended up with an electric golf cart and it also works
well to put a little one to sleep.
