There is an article in Today's Wall Street Journal reviewing a telephone 
direction service that might be of use to some of us which is free even.

You dial 
Directions

>From a cell phone that can be recognized and from which you can read text 
>messages.

The service uses speech recognition and according to the article can give 
pretty good directions from point to point via text messages.

I have an antique cell phone so can't try it out myself.
