Lennie,
If you look in your store folder the .dbx files should be in there. Make sure
a file named folder.dbx is in there also. If they are not there, they may be
somewhere else on your computer. Try doing a search for *.dbx and see if you
might have duplicate .dbx files.

  Subject: [BlindHandyMan] computer problem

This is the second time that I had this problem with email. This morning I
was closing outlook express and a prompt came up notifying me that it can be
compressed. I clicked on ok and everything went downhill from there. When I
opened my email later in the morning I had several hundred messages to download
and all of my sub folders were gone.
When all of the messages were downloaded, back a few weeks, I went to other
identities that had no problems. Only mine the main identity was trashed. I
tried to recover using o e backup with no good results. I had no choice to go
to my ghost backup from 3 days ago and recover the entire system losing a few
days of email and two product updates.
This is the second time in the past 3 months that this happened.
Any ideas what is causing the problem and how to prevent it in the future.
For now I will not allow the system to compress the files until I first make a
ghost backup.
