I am not sure, I would guess about 1/4 to 3/8 inch for the quiet spot. It is not a very long level but has a part that will make it about 18" long. thanks Lenny, How wide a quiet spot does it have? I had one about 20 years ago and it was very weak. Balancing my W&D in my first home as a married guy showed it to be a wreck of a unit.
