Why not go all out and hook a Co2 canister to it?

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] The marshmellow gun ponderings

  Hello,
I am studying this store bought marshmallow gun and trying to figure out the
best way to achieve something similar at home.
The pump up idea reminds me of the super soaker guns which shoot water long
distances?
There is a reserve in the middle/top of the gun which resembles a small
plastic soft drink bottle, or part of one really, because it is not very large.
Back at the back of the gun is a pump handle, which is hooked to a thing
which resembles the plunger of a very large hypothermic serenge.
I can't see what is on the other end of it, but I figure it is like the cork
pop guns, with a piece of plastic, to pres against the edges of the tunnel
enough to push air somewhere.
I am not sure how this works.
I considered just buying a small bike pump and building a housing around it,
to hide what I had done, and just do the whole valve stem mounted in pvc and
all that which is suggested for the big air cannons, but this seems like over
kill and extra money.
Surely it is more easy to achieve?
  Any thoughts?
I also read somewhere about bug sprayers or some such little rigs which can
be bought complete from hardware store.
  Again, sounds like overkill.
I am just still studying this idea.
  Thanks for any forthcoming thoughts.

  Matt
