R J, unless simpson windows are built in Conn. than I still think they are the Shuco brand. either way. I am sort of glad we overpaid for these things as not long ago a Fed x truck deliverd the replacement sash packed in a ton of those peanut thingees and it fits in, the replacement with no problem. I've used a silicone spray but it seemed as the odor , maybe from the propellant, lingers forever and in a kitchen area that is sort of nasty. Lee
