Back in the days when I had to clear snow I had big driveways too. And I haven't had light perception for longer than I can remember. What I did to start with was drag the blower close to the road end of the driveway. I would go back and forth across the end until I cleared out a section 6 to 8 feet wide all the way across the driveway. Always leaving a pass or 2 before the road. The reason for such a wide area was to give myself a warning and to keep from charging out into the road... That way I hit a clear place and the engine relaxes a bit and it starts working again when I run into the buffer at the end. You will refine it as you do it more often but after clearing side to side at the end I went end to end. You'll have to make up your own system if you have a car in the driveway. Because you'll have a good bit of blind man's fog around you, the noise, and it's hard to tell if you are going to run into anything.
I liked my first end to end pass to be along the side of the drive closest to the house. Then I went from there. Remember to check the angle of the shoot every so often so you aren't throwing everything out in the road or on the part you just cleaned. Good luck ----- Original Message ----- From: Andrew J. I am blind with no light perception. I have a somewhat large driveway and would like to get some ideas on how to clear what is in front of me. I guess, I just need some ideas..
