I have a carpenter's square which I use when I want to be absolutely sure
something is square. Combination squares and T squares can be a little
off. You need to check them against a standard and a carpenter's square is
mine. I can align it by feel and tell if something is off square. You
don't need sight to use one. I keep it in a safe place and am careful not
to drop it or bang it around.

Regards.
