I just bought my zapper yesterday, and last night it got two mice. I
couldn't find any place that sold the Rat Zapper brand, so I bought a
Victor brand one at Home Depot. The Victor one is the same company
that has made mouse traps for 150 years. It takes 4 "C" type batteries
which cost me almost $6. Their output is 4 times 1 1/2 = 6 volts total.

I suppose one might be able to use a 6 volt transformer. I have
several. Whenever I throw away anything, I salvage everything off of
it. As a result I have about 6 of them. The only thing is, I'm
wondering if these 4 C batteries might produce more amperage than a
transformer. I know that the amperage of those transformers is low,
from the fact that their output is really thin.

I might try it when my C batteries give up though. They say that they
are good for 40 kills. The only thing is that I'm sure that the device
undoubtedly employs solid state circuitery, which could be damaged. It
would be a $45 gamble.
