David, Yes, I didn't go into that much detail, but as with all digital stuff, it's either there or not and so when it fades it dropps out. Very annoying indeed. but the typical home user has no way to measure long term signal stability except to buy and try hopefully on a return basis.
somebody could rent such a fancy test instrument that would record a range of signal strengths over a day or a week and analyze the data giving a yes/no;maybe result, but why not just try it and see if it makes you vomit. <GRIN> tom
