  Believe it or not, in San Antonio we pay $.06 per kw. However there's two 
other companies, also nonprofits in Texas that are even cheaper than we are. In 
the 1940's the city bought out the power company, so it's non-profit. We always 
have to fight to keep it that way though. A profit making company tried to buy 
us out. Our then mayor tried to get us to go along with them. I bet some $$$ 
went under the table on that one.

  What you hear about non-profits sometimes is true, and sometimes not. For 
instance, AAA and State Farm insurance is member owned but is more expensive 
than some profit-making firms. 

  Even though we're cheap, we have the Cadillac of service. Call them, and you 
don't get put on hold. They're right out as soon as you hang up. Our lights 
seldom go out.

  We're cheap because we use a lot of nucular, solar and wind power.
