Here are a couple of things I picked up over the last week. From Norm, if you are going to make a biscuit joint with a number of biscuits, cut one long slot in one of the pieces to be joined. This saves time and eliminates the need to make each cut with the biscuit joiner exactly right. From a woodworking newsletter I get from time to time, a high school kid, I forget where he lives, built a bicycle entirely of wood. The wheels, the chain, the sprockets, the whole thing. The only drawback seemed to be is it doesn't appear to have breaks.
