Hi Bill If it is a pressure vessel , first before attempting anything release the pressure from that vessel. Then when it is empty of any pressure grab a spanner and turn it anti-clock wise to remove it. Take the Pressure Gauge along to your Local supplier for a replacement. If however it is for some sort of fluid turn off the valve controlling that fluid. If it is a gas be careful of any form of ignition, if there is a shut off valve under the Gauge then turn it off before removing. Hope this helps. Ray

Well, I found out this gauge is broke. The Barrel is 40 inches and has an inch and a quarter pipe. Do I need to know the prand of the barrel? If so, where is it located? If I remove the nut at the gauge, that removes the gauge entirely, in on piece? I am familiar with pipes and have plumbed but I just have never in my 56 years put a gauge on? Any help is appreciated.
