Therre is a product called, usually, "dippit" for tool handles etc. Comes in a can for brushing on or dipping in, and also now in spray cans. You'd have to mask off moving parts and, oh, the lenses for the sightlings too I suppose, before applying the dippit plastic.
Alcohol or "googone" should remove the residue of the sticky first. Hope they're reeally good binoculars, it's probably going to be a mess. Tom
