Hi Jim and All, After your review I purchased a pair. They do work and I really am pleased. Now I did have one minor problem. There is a misconception among friends that I have a big head which now I can authoritatively dispute. I had to wrap part of a shop rag around the head band part in order to make it fit. On it's smallest position the head band part was about 3/8" away from the top of my head. If I leaned forward the top would slide over my nose and when leaning back or looking up back it flopped towards my neck. A little shop rag wrapped around the top band fixed the problem. The hearing protection that I used before worked too good. If someone wanted me they had to wait until they could tap me on the shoulder. I was startled more than once. With these when I turned off my router and , dust collector I could hear Karen talking upstairs. I would give them a 5* rating.
