I agree that the subsequent articles should not have been posted, and since I am the one that started them, I apologize for having started the frivolous part of this thread.
I am the person who originally pushed our moderators to be pretty strict on keeping things on topic because lists can so easily run out of control. I personally want this particular list to stick to fixing things, with the occasional post about an interesting blindness related topic. So I apologize to the moderators for having gotten us off topic. I will also note that the message about the murderers going free anonymously was not only off topic, but was useless as they went free nearly seven years ago and it would take an act of law to remove the anonymity from their records. -- Blue skies.
