At a craft show my daughter purchased a purple heart wooden pen. She asked if I could make them. Since I at present do not own a lathe, I answered no. MLCS, the place where I purchase my router bits sells tools for making pens. The last time I was at the shop in Philadelphia the manager asked me if I ever intended on making pens. He told me that he has another blind customer who turns pens. I am starting to become interested. I just located some information detailing the process of pen turning.
