Hello to All, First about this list, I think it is a fantastic resource for information and help with almost any problem. We are so lucky to have individuals with so many different backgrounds that are willing to help others on list. I am honored that the list owners invited me to help moderate.
We as members of the Blind Fraternity have a special bond. Because of this fraternity we should never say anything that may offend another member among this group of friends. I as a moderator will not tolerate flaming, ethnic slurs or offensive language. My reaction will to be to immediately place the violator on moderated status. This means that any subsequent post from that individual must be approved by a list owner or me. I know that I made many new friends from this list. When I was first contacted about joining the team I was a little reluctant. I am a retired computer systems analyst project leader and had over thirty years listening to finger pointing and arguing. I told the list owners that I do not like or want controversy but am capable of dealing with it. I am a “green bean” as far to experience with list management. I know that I will probably make some mistakes. If I do kindly let me know, I can deal with constructive criticism.
