Lee, I have a magic jack also that I use for long calls long distance from
my house. I only have local service on my regular house phone now because most
calls made are long distance that we do, so the long distance ability was
dropped. Now all calls are free without charge and my phone bill has been
reduced around 30 bucks a month.
There is one down side to them. Since my son is home from college and
does gaming online, phone calls are limited to non full game times because of
the constant usage required by high speed gaming. If anyone has a gamer in the
family, you know what I am talking about, especially if their computer is
designed for gaming.
