I did today check at a Home depot and will go to a Lowes on next
wednesday because both of these places are many miles away we try to
set up a time when we for instance would also be going to a doctors
appointments. I made a typical mistake and did not measure the distance
on the top of the precast porch/ steps from one hole to the next. this
set up has three holes pre drilled out and the original railings were
apparently held on with one of those expansion things or spreader
devies as it tighten down. so there is two holes on the top. one by
the building. one at the top of the landing. then one down below on
the lowest step. so I found the lighter weight rainlings but feels
sturdy enough , as Victor pointed out. seems as you can buy a package
or add different combinations to make up a railing set. more details to
follow after this coming Wednesdays trip. Lee
