Barry, so sorry to hear about having to put down one of your best Friends. many have given you great suggestions here. Let me add another thought and this you will need sighted help for if you are a total. we too have hardwood floors that have been down since 1951 . two dogs in this house one befor me and my guide when he had cancer was also a dribbler and in some areas those hardwood floors actually turned almost black. if they are small spots you can rub them out with some sandpaper and stell wool. but you willhave to talk to more of the folks on the list as to how to blend in what you have sanded out to come even close to the rest of the floor matching up. someday when I get the buckos I'll get a pro in to redo the floors. many time those urine enzymes can go deep into the wood but I am also told it depends on the type of wood at the intial floor construction. good luck.
