Jennifer, depending how the original plumbing was set up under that slab will depend on how much digging you have to do. most, but not all the houses on two streets around me are o what is called a floating slab. in many places across the house the slab is four inches thick but as we found out in our bathroom of a previous house was the concrete can be as thin as two inches. our plumbing for that house ran under the kitchen floor and under the hallway floor where the bathroom and kitchen tied into a Y and some other joint . hopefully part of your main sewer and or dischare line runs along the side of your house. whaterver you do Not mix different items like " drano" or some other brand as it can and will blow up and out making one lousy mess. good luck.
