I have Protection One here. I don't know if they are available in your city.
You might want to contact your police department and see who they might
recommend. You might ask your insurance agent, not only about the savings you
might receive on your home owners policy, but if they recommend any company in
your area. The security system I have also notifies the fire department if
there is a fire, and we have had our system go off because of leaving bacon on
the stove too long and the fire truck was here before we could get the alarm
cancelled, so that's a good thing in case you really need them. I like the way
mine is setup because it beeps if some one opens the door, so I know if anyone
is coming or going which lets me know even if a family member is going outside
or coming back inside so I know where people are in case I want to know. We
have gotten kind of lax about sitting the alarm as we do have a pretty good
alarm system in our big black lab and are little tiny yorky/losopso!
The company does call to verify a problem and that's good too. We list other
family members or friends who have access to the home if we are away so they
can come check on any reported problem. I didn't opt for the window alarms,
but did have a glass breakage alarm installed for the computer area so if some
one were to break the window in the study it will go off.
  Good luck.

  Hey Guys,

I am trying to choose a company to go with for an alarm system. In truth, as
I have a hundred pound, dog I am not even sure I want a system. Still, I did a
search on my local city and only found one review of one company. Is there a
reliable place to go for this kind of information?

  Jennifer
