I used to have an Airedale that had skin problems for a while.  I used to rinse 
him in a vinegar and water solution.  It worked OK except when it rained and 
you thought you were in a salad bar somewhere.  I've also used vinegar 
successfully for cleaning ear wax out of dogs' ears. I've heard from those wise 
in folkways, that a couple drops of apple cyder vinegar in a dog's water every 
day will help prevent arthritis but how much of that is fact I don't know.
