if there are no sharp edges or jags to give you trouble; you could dip a q-tip into bore cleaner. Use a few to clean that out and then gun oil it. You may know much more about it than i, but it was instilled in my head that no length of time from black powder, and no day or more with gunpowder, is good for the investment.
