I got the last of my 12 support posts positioned and leveled today under a
light rain. My main floor supports of 2x8's will span 12 feet so I will add
short posts in the middle yet before any deck boards go on. My rafters that
hold the deck boards will be 16 inch on center on the prior supports.
Since the lumber varies in dimension by a quarter inch I will sort it,
mark it and than decide how to proceed so the final deck is all the same height.
