I would suggest going back to the manufacturer of your cane
for that part. You may be able to get a replacement under warrantee, if time
has not run on your contract. You might also ask for a heavy duty replacement,
if the break came about under normal use.

I have a relatively new 5 section folding cane. It is one of the
carbon fiber ones so it is still straight and I would like to
keep it. The string on the inside broke and I want to restring
the cane.
Does anyone know where to find that type of string at? I was
thinking a fabric store. But was wondering if anyone had a
better place.
