Just thought it would have some educational value. Since he has RP he is
talking more to me about blindness. He is eleven an in the 5th grade. Last
year he and his teacher made arrangements for me to take my guide dog in to
talk to his class. I do like the alternative idea of a bird house. He loves
birds and owns a few talkers.

Why a braille clock?

There must be thousands of things from bird houses to CD racks or drawers
which offer varieties of interesting joinery techniques.

You might like to google something like woodworking projects for kids. How
old is the boy? Maybe toys or puzzles?

Perhaps there is a reason you wish to focus on blindness but there is more
out there.
